Camp 2017
A big thank you to all the parents who helped at camp, especially our Camp Mother, Nic Nelson. Nic and her team of helpers in the kitchen did a great job making sure the boys had yummy, nutritious meals and were well fed.
Youthtown were also amazing. They provided a range of activities that reflected our School Values. I saw many opportunities for boys to step outside their comfort zone and risk take, especially evident in the Burma Trail and show perseverance, particularly in the archery. The STEM activity showed just what teams can create when they work together.
Please find below links to some of the photos taken at camp. Apologies, for the side ways ones - wouldn't let me rotate!
Enjoy!

Welcome to 4C 2017
Welcome to Year 4!
I hope you have all had a great holiday and the boys are well rested, ready for a great year. A special welcome to all our new boys.
Curriculum foci:
Our first maths focus will be on number knowledge, then number and algebra ie place value and addition/subtraction strategies.
In literacy, we will be focusing on goal setting for the term. We will be discussing what a goal is and the steps we need to take to achieve it. Later, we will reflect on our camp experiences, and look at our school values.
For PE there will be a focus on swimming. Our PE days are Monday and Thursday. The boys should have their PE bag at school on a Monday and take it home on Friday each week, as they will need to change for sport on a Tuesday.
The boys will also receive their first homework assignment which involves a short presentation on themselves.
We have many exciting learning opportunities happening this year - starting with our camp in Week 4.
